Software - Games Beta Testers

Windows OS Only

Why we need Beta Testers For Our Games.

Targeting software for machines with a minimum specification is often more challenging when the software is games related. Modern PC's and graphics cards are far superior to those produced just a few years ago and although design manufacturers strive to gain backward compatibility, there is a limit to how effective this becomes over time.

We aim our software games primarily at the "non-gamer" market. By that we mean the average PC (Personal Computer) and not just specialist gamming systems.

Before we release each new software title it goes through extensive in-house testing and re-testing. Some software game testing is more involved than others, often requiring additional code to be added enabling "cheat modes" or adding code to simulate errors on different system configurations.

Writing software for Windows® OS might seem fairly strait forward but in fact the differences in the various OS platforms can be quite stark and ensuring compatibility across all system configurations can seem like an impossible task at times.

No matter how much we try to ensure every machine above the required minimum specification will run our software, there will be configurations which will fail to do so. Systems with supper new graphics capabilities do not always allow for 100% downward compatibility and systems which only just meet the minimum specifications may well struggle if a large number of background programs are running at the same time.

What is a Beta Tester?

Software is first released as a Beta Version for evaluation and to iron out any unseen mistakes, bugs or compatibility issues. These can be anything from spelling or gamer errors to failure to award a score, an extra life or there could be game save / load permission issues.

A Beta Tester does not need any special skills and do not generally need to become involved in the game development; you do not need to know how a computer works in order to use it.

What do YOU get out of it?

Beta Testers are invited to evaluate a Beta version of the software prior to final release. At the end of the beta testing trials, Beta Testers can obtain a complimentary final version without charge together with any necessary licence key or unlock code.

All Our Software is Certified Spyware and Adware Free

Our software does not record usage nor does it require you to be connected to the internet in order to use it. We rely on your feed-back in order to improve what we offer and reward by giving away a copy of the final version at no cost.

How can I Join the Beta Testing Team?

In order to be accepted you will need to have a compatible computer system. All our games are designed for Windows Operating Systems from NT/2000 onwards. 3D capable graphics is recommended but generally not essential. We try to ensure our games run on systems with "lower end" specifications to maximize compatibility.

All our software games go through extensive "in-house" testing prior to being released as a Beta Version and remains 100% Virus and Spyware Free.
